Dog People vs. Cat People: Who’s Smarter?

As a general rule, you either love dogs (and hate cats) or love cats (but hate dogs). That’s why there’s always fierce competition between dog and cat owners.

Live Science reports on a research team which studied the differences between cat and dog lovers. In a highly controversial findings, it was found that cat lovers scored higher on intelligence than dog lovers.

Of the participants in the study, 60 percent said they were dog lovers while just 11 percent identified as cat lovers.  (Go dog lovers!!!)

“People who said they were dog lovers in the study tended to be more lively — meaning they were more energetic and outgoing — and also tended to follow rules closely. Cat lovers, on the other hand, were more introverted, more open-minded and more sensitive than dog lovers. Cat people also tended to be non-conformists, preferring to be expedient rather than follow the rules.”

So cat lovers are smarter? Yea right. As dog lovers, we think this research is complete B.S. 🙂
